For all that is in the world, the lust
of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes,
and the pride of life, is not of the Father,
but is of the world.

Cast Her Pride Away

It's now the time for the waiting church
To cast her sinful pride away,
With girded loins and burning lamps,
To look for the breaking of the day.

The night is almost gone,
The day is coming on;

The signs foretold in the sun and moon,
In earth and sea and the sky,
Aloud proclaim to all mankind,
The coming of the Master draweth nigh.

I hear the joyful people say;
The stars of heaven are growing dim,

Go quickly out in the streets and lanes
And in the broadened sick highway,
And call the maimed, the halt, and blindèd,
